Director Of BUMDes Suspect Of Palm Oil Corruption In Kuansing Detained, Corruption Money To Buy Cars
PeKANBARU - Riau High Prosecutor's Office detained the Director of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Karya Muda Stop Sungkai, Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) named Jalunis after being named a suspect in the alleged corruption of funds for the management of oil palm plantations covering an area of 500 hectares.
Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the Riau Prosecutor's Office, Bambang Heripurwanto, said that this 500 hectare garden belongs to the Kuansing Regency Government. He explained that Jalunis is suspected of using the local government's assets by harvesting the existing palm oil since 2020-2023.
"To speed up the investigation process, Jalunis will be detained for the next 20 days at the Sialang Bungkuk Detention Center, Pekanbaru," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 17.
As a result of his actions, Bambang continued, the Kuansing Regency area suffered a loss of Rp. 593 million based on the temporary calculation of investigators through the Riau Prosecutor's Office auditor.

Before being named a suspect, Jalunis was first examined as a witness. After the case was carried out, the Riau Prosecutor's Office Pidsus Investigation Team concluded that there was corruption in the management of 500 hectares of oil palm plantations in Stop Sungkai Village, Pucuk Rantau District, Kuansing.
