Failed To Smuggle 570 Bottles Of Bali Wine In Bima, Police Check Truck Driver

The police thwarted the smuggling of 570 bottles of traditional liquor from Bali in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara.Bima City Police Chief AKBP Yudha Pranata said the smuggling was revealed from the results of the investigation by the West Rasanae Police Operational Team."The activity is held Thursday night around Jalan Pasar Raya, Bima City," Yudha said in a written statement received in Mataram, Antara, Friday, May 17.Hundreds of bottles containing wine were found from a truck that was about to enter Bima City."The team found evidence in 11 cardboard packages. The transportation did not have a permit," he said.In addition to confiscating 11 boxes containing wine from Bali, the police also secured a truck driver with the initials EF (45). Now, Yudha has confirmed that the truck driver is still undergoing examination at the West Rasanae Police."So, the evidence, trucks and drivers are still in our status and the legal process is still ongoing," he said.
Furthermore, Yudha emphasized that the Bima City Police and all ranks are committed to eradicating the circulation of illegal liquor to prevent the impact of community security disturbances.
