Ciliwung Normalization Continues, Heru Budi Ensures Physical Work Of 265 Meters Begins Next Week

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono ensured that the Ciliwung River normalization project would be resumed immediately. The DKI Provincial Government has gradually acquired land for residents along the riverbanks.Heru ensured that the central government was able to carry out physical work on the normalization of Ciliwung in the Cililitan segment with a length of 265 meters.This was conveyed by Heru when reviewing land acquisition for the Ciliwung normalization project in the Rawajati segment."Starting next week, the physical construction will be carried out along 265 meters and one of the flood prevention points that we are dealing with today can be completed," said Heru when met in Rawajati Village, South Jakarta, Friday, May 17.In this case, land acquisition is carried out in a structured manner by directly securing assets. Then, the physical development activities will be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) next week.Heru ensured that 52 families in RW 06 and 27 families in RW 07 in Cililitan Village, East Jakarta, had supported the normalization of the Ciliwung River. Consisting of 88 plots of land, of which 84 plots have been acquired, while the rest are still waiting for the payment process.In addition, there are 63 families in RW 07, Rawajati Village, South Jakarta, who approved the normalization. There are 157 joint plots of land from RW 07, RW 01, and RW 03, of which 92 lands have been acquired, while the rest are still in process.The two areas are divided into two land sections that are acquired, namely the Kampung Melayu Bridge segment (Jl. Abd. Syafei-Manggarai Water Gate) and the Simatupang Toll Bridge segment to the Kampung Melayu Bridge.
"Gradually, in 2024 data collection will be carried out, location determination. After our administrative process is passed in 2024, we can carry out the east side or at least the payment will be gradually (completed) in 2025," explained Heru.
