Bulog Papua Calls Vietnam And Thailand Rice Imports Premium Quality
JAKARTA - The Bulog Public Company (Perum) of the Regional Offices of Papua and West Papua said that imported rice from Vietnam and Thailand is a premium quality, but the packaging is carried out in the medium type so that people don't have to worry about the quality of rice.
The Manager for the Procurement of the Regional Office of Bulog Papua and West Papua, Arwan Taufik, in Jayapura, Friday, May 17, said that the rice that came to his working area was 13 thousand tons.
"The rice that came was to maintain the availability of rice stocks, which until Thursday, May 16, reached 35 thousand tons with resilience for the next five months," he said, quoted from Antara.
According to Taufik, for 13 thousand tons, 6,700 and 6,650 tons of Sorong will be distributed to the working area.
"The presence of Vietnamese and Thai rice is given to ASN, TNI and Polri as well as the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program," he said.
He explained that some of the imported rice from Vietnam would be distributed to Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains.
