Sah Jadi Proposal Initiative DPR, Baleg RUU Kementerian Negara Segara Dibawa Ke Paripurna
JAKARTA - The Legislation Body of the DPR approved the draft Law (RUU) of the Ministry of State to become an initiative bill from the DPR. Baleg will immediately send the draft bill to the leadership of the DPR so that it can be approved in the upcoming plenary meeting.
"So the revision of the State Ministry Law has been decided to become a bill for the initiative of the DPR. Then we will submit it to the leadership for the plenary session, so that it becomes an official draft of the DPR proposal and after that the DPR leadership will send it to the president," said Chairman of the DPR Baleg Supratman Andi Agtas, Thursday, May 16.
Furthermore, the draft bill will be submitted to the government for joint discussion in level I discussions. It is hoped that this bill can soon be passed into law.
"We hope that later the president, whoever will be appointed, will have a more in-depth discussion in the upcoming level one talks," he continued.
Supratman is grateful that nine factions in the DPR approved the draft State Ministry Bill, one of which regulates the addition of ministries according to the needs of the president. Of the nine factions who agreed, only PKS provided notes.

"The existing notes are principles, the first of which is to respect this change in order to strengthen our presidential system. That whoever the president is, the president should not be locked in relation to numbers related to the number of ministries or nomenclature of his ministry so that we hope that the effectiveness of the government can run and that is thought in accordance with the vision and mission of the president, especially the elected president, whoever the president is. Therefore once again this is in accordance with our law," explained the Gerindra politician.
Later, continued Supratman, the draft proposal for the DPR initiative will be discussed together with the government after the president sends his representative. The important point of the revision of Law Number 39 of 2008 is not about the number of ministries but the efficiency and effectiveness of the cabinet.
"We are waiting for the president to send his surpres and his deputy who is the minister appointed to discuss this. We will see later that attitude and the factions will certainly remain," he said.
