Making Children's Films, John Krasinski Creates A Special Role For Steve Carell
JAKARTA - Actor and director John Krasinski admitted that he made IF films specifically for actor Steve Carell.
IF film is a family film that has a background in the world where khalayan friends are considered real. Steve Carell voiced as Blue, a blue animated man who became the imaginary friend of a child named Jeremy.
In a recent interview, Kransiski said he had planned Blue's role for Steve Carell long before he started offering the role to the actor.
"The last time I wrote a part for someone was A Quiet Place for my wife (Emily Blunt) and I was too nervous to tell him about it, and the same thing happened to Steve," said John Krasinski quoting The Independent.
"I wrote Blue to be Steve because of his sense of humor and how sweet he is, and how vulnerable he is and also how big and open he is and he gives a close hug," he explained.

"So I thought, 'If he doesn't do this, we are in trouble,' Krasinski said.
"And once he answered yes, it felt like there was a family member who gave you the love and support I needed," he said.
John Krasinski and Steve Carell are co-stars in the series The Office which became one of the legendary series and aired for nine years. The film marked their reunion in acting after several years.
