Thailand Open 2024 Results: 4 Indonesian Representatives Compactly Qualify For Round Of 16

JAKARTA Four Indonesian representatives from mixed doubles are both compact past the first round of the Thailand Open 2024 which will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, evening WIB.

The last ticket was obtained by the pair Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari. The second seed passed after stopping representatives of India, Sumeth Reddy/Sikki Reddy, 21-12 and 21-16.

The four mixed doubles pairs are the first Indonesian representatives to fight today. The rest there are still 10 representatives who will struggle to follow in their footsteps.

Of the four representatives who fought, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati was the first to confirm a ticket to the round of 16 of this BWF Super 500 level event.

The seventh seed stopped the South Korean pair, Wang Chan/Shin Seung Chan, in a fierce three-game match.

Moments later it was Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja's turn to follow.

The third pair who got tickets were Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah, who repatriated Chinese representative Taipei, Wei Chun Wei/Nicole Gonzales Chan.

From mixed doubles, Indonesia has the potential to add more representatives. The reason is, the Jafar Hidayatullah/Aisyah Salsabila Putri Pranata couple have not played the first round.

In the second round, Rinov/Pitha will meet Sathish Kumar Karunakaran/Aadya Variyath, Dejan/Gloria meet Lin Bing Wei/Lin Chih Chun, and Adnan/Nita meet Ruttanapak Oupthong/Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat.

Meanwhile, Rehan/Lisa are still waiting for their opponents. They will meet the winner of Neuaduang Mangkornloi/Atitaya Povavon vs Choong Hon Jian/Go Pei Kee.
