Raphael Varane Will Leave Manchester United At The End Of The Season

JAKARTA - Raphael Varane has announced that he will leave Manchester United at the end of this season.

Injuries have limited Varane to 93 appearances over three seasons at Old Trafford.

He was indeed on Manchester United's list after the arrival of new minority shareholder Sir Jim Radcliffe, who made a massive overhaul in the squad.

Varane is definitely not a priority to extend his contract. As a result, when his contract expires at the end of this season, the 31-year-old defender is confirmed to be looking for a new port.

"For those of you, Manchester United supporters, are amazing years to be able to play for this special club and wear that shirt," Varane said on his social media.

"The first time I went to Old Trafford as a Man United player was crazy, the atmosphere was amazing."

"I fell in love with this club, with its fans. You have to play for Man United to understand what it represents."

"For my children, this is his home. This will be a special place for me, for life," said Varane.

There are still two last matches Varane will play with Manchester United in the 2023 Premier League. The Red Devils will host Newcastle United (May 16, 2024) and travel to Brighton's headquarters (May 19, 2024).

The match against Newcastle will be a farewell match for Varane to the residents of Old Trafford.
