Laufey Hopes To Collaborate With K-Pop Groups In The Future
JAKARTA - Laufey is one of the new magnets in the music industry, not only for listeners who miss new songs with classic jazz nuances, but also young people who don't necessarily know jazz.
Known as a new female jazz soloist icon, the Icelandese-Chinese singer has again shown her interest in K-pop. In fact, he expressed his hope to collaborate.
Initially, Laufey got a question from someone while undergoing a question and answer session in Toronto some time ago. The 25-year-old singer was asked if she could get her work out of her current musical style.
"So many things. I feel like my job is not completely finished with what I'm doing. I want to at least make some albums like me now," Laufey replied, citing the TikTok account @clvstn, Tuesday, May 14.
There are at least two things Laufey wants to try, namely making a country album and launching works like cheerful K-pop music.
"I'd love to make an album like a country, but like a blues country," Laufey said.
I also like K-pop, like (released) one song with a K-pop group or the artist. I feel it would be great fun, "he continued.
Laufey admits that he likes the cheerful color of K-pop music. Moreover, he believes his collaboration with K-pop groups or idols will be a fun surprise for his fans.
