The Getaci Toll Project Auction Is Still In Process, Construction Will Start In 2025?

JAKARTA - Construction of the national strategic project (PSN) of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap (Getaci) Toll Road which is predicted to be the longest toll road in Indonesia still does not show any signs of starting soon.

Initially, this project was targeted to start construction at the end of 2023, but until now there are still no signs of construction starting.

Responding to this, Director of Block Free Roads of the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of PUPR Triono Junoasmono, said that currently the toll road project is still in the auction stage.

"The battery, right, is in the auction stage," he said when met by reporters at the National Working Meeting on Acceleration and Pre-Evaluation of PSN at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 14.

The man who is familiarly called Yongki said that currently there are companies that are interested in working on the longest toll road project in Indonesia. However, he could not mention in detail.

"The proof is that someone has entered the pre-qualification process, there are several companies. It means that someone is interested," he said.

He also targets that the toll auction stage can be completed by the end of 2024. Thus, construction work can be carried out immediately.

"Hopefully the auction target can be completed this year. Hopefully we will target the main completion of the auction at the end of this year so that the physical (work) can start at the end of the year or early next year," he said.

According to him, the status of the national strategic project (PSN) of the Getaci Toll Road will not be revoked in line with the auction stage which is still in process until now.

"Yes (PSN status) is maintained. Because (the toll) is, right, it is very important that the network structure is needed. If everything is by the private sector, this project can become unfit, this project has a huge physical picture of almost 100 kilometers. So, it really needs government support to make the project more feasible," he added.

For your information, Based on data from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR, the Gedebage-Tasik-Ciamis toll road which will become the longest toll road in Indonesia has a total length of 108.3 kilometers (km).

It is known, the investment value is IDR 37.64 trillion. Initially, the toll road included in the National Strategic Project (PSN) was planned to pass through two provinces, namely West Java with a length of 171.40 km and Central Java with a length of 35.25 km with a total length of 206.65 km.
