Failed Smuggling Of 125,684 Lobster Seeds In Jambi, 3 People Arrested
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) together with the National Police's Dit Polair Team thwarted the Smuggling of Lobster Seeds (BBL) in Jambi City, Jambi.
Acting Director General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP) Pung Nugroho Saksono or often called Ipunk said, as many as 17 boxes of Styrofoam confiscated by Ditpolairud with a total of 125,684 BBL consisting of 124,510 Types of Sand BBL and 1,174 Types of Mutiara have been secured.
"We appreciate the team from the Dit Polair Baharkam Polri together with the ranks of the Directorate General of PSDKP who managed to thwart 125,000 BBL in Jambi," said Ipunk, quoted from the KKP official website, Tuesday, May 14.
Ipunk said, from the results of the failure to smuggle BBL, three perpetrators were arrested, namely AD (31), ATH (43) and A (40).
He said, apart from BBL, the evidence that was secured was in the form of a Toyota New Avanza Color Dark Gray, a Toyota Innova Putih and four cellphones.
Thus, Ipunk hopes that his party can establish closer collaboration and synergy with various agencies and institutions, both at the central and regional levels.
"This is very unfortunate. Domestic fuel is actually smuggled into neighboring countries. Meanwhile, the state does not get any profit," he said.

For your information, KKP noted that five times the smuggling of BBL had been thwarted. First, to be precise at Lombok Airport by PT Angkasa Pura 1 Aviation Security (Avsec) Lombok Airport, NTB, with 18,952 BBL numbers in February 2024.
Second, in the waters of Tanjung Jabung Timur by the East Tanjab Police, Jambi, with a total of 148,455 BBL in April 2024. Third, in Palembang (Banyuasin) in early May 2024 which was carried out by the Indonesian Navy with a total of 312,000 BBL.
For the fourth and fifth, BBL smuggling was foiled on the same day, namely in May 2024. The failure was carried out by the Indonesian Navy and the Ditpolair Baharkam Polri.
