Citro Badminton Officially Gets CBU Electric Car Import Incentives From The Government

JAKARTA - French car brand Citro waryan has realized one of its strategic steps to bring battery-based electric vehicles (BEVs) that can be reached by the wider community in Indonesia.

In a statement received by VOI, on May 3, 2024, the government through the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BKPM), has officially approved the request of Citrowasin Indonesia, to participate in the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle Program.

With the issuance of the Letter of Approval of the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1/KBLBB-CBU/1/OSS/PMDN 2024, to PT National Assemblers as the vehicle assembly company under the Indomobil group which also oversees the Citro waste brand in Indonesia, Citro waryan Indonesia will utilize the Citro OWN-C3 All Electric import facility in its entirety (CBU) with 0 percent import duty and luxury sales tax (PPnBM) borne by the government, used in the transition period until the start of domestically maximum production activities.
