JCI Opens Stronger by 16.60 Points, Three Compact Big Bank Shares Enter Top Gainers

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) at the opening of trading Tuesday, May 14 2024 rose 16.60 points or 0.23 percent to 7,115,864 at 09.07 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) this morning.

Meanwhile, the JCI opened at 7,099.53, while the highest level for the JCI today was 7,122.38 and the lowest was 7,094.34.

The total share trading volume on the IDX reached 1.20 billion, with a transaction value reaching IDR 811.64 billion.

There were 199 shares rising, 122 shares falling, and 196 shares flat.

The LQ45 Index fell 0.01 percent, Japan's Nikkei 225 Index rose 0.15 percent, the Hang Seng Index strengthened 0.20 percent, China's Shanghai Composite fell 0.11 percent, and Singapore's Straits Times weakened 0.05 percent.

As for those who entered the Top Gainers ranks, namely PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) rose 150 or 1.57 percent to IDR 9,675, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) rose 80 or 1.67 percent to IDR 4,860, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) rose 60 or 1.28 percent to IDR 4,740.

Meanwhile, the Top Losers were PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) shares down 445 or 8.77 percent to IDR 4,630, PT MAPActiv Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA) down 40 or 4.49 percent to IDR 850, and PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) fell 90 or 2.05 percent to IDR 4,290.
