Electric Motorcycle Factory In Karawang Will Absorb Thousands Of Workers

JAKARTA - The electric motorcycle factory PT Yadea Teknologi Indonesia, which was built in the Suryacipta Industrial Estate, Karawang Regency, West Java, is projected to absorb thousands of workers.

"In this production section, it can absorb around 3 thousand workers," said General Manager of the Yadea Indonesia Manufacturing Company, Wang Jinlong during the laying of the first stone for the construction of a factory in Karawang, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 14.

He said that the number of labor absorption reaching 3,000 new workers from the production department was not included in the marketing sector.

"For marketing personnel, it will be outside the absorption of 3 thousand workers," he said.

The construction of the electric motorcycle factory PT Yadea Teknologi Indonesia on an area of 27 hectares in the Suryacipta Karawang industrial area, officially started on Monday.

"We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Yadea factory in Indonesia which has an annual production capacity of 3 million units," said Wang Jinlong.

He said the strategic step was also effective in meeting the increasing demand for high-quality electric two-wheeled vehicles in the Indonesian market.

The establishment of the new Yadea factory in Indonesia, not only shows the leading position in the field of electric two-wheeled vehicles, but also injects new vitality into the development of the Indonesian industry.

According to him, the establishment of this factory will create more local job opportunities, encourage the development of related industrial chains, and support Indonesia in achieving sustainable transportation goals.

The total investment in this factory construction activity is USD 150 million and is scheduled to start operating in 2026.

The Regent of Karawang Aep Syaepuloh hopes that the existence of an electric motorcycle factory that has just been built in the Suryacipta Industrial Estate will be able to assist the government in overcoming unemployment. This means that job opportunities can really be used by Karawang residents with the presence of the factory.

"We hope that in the absorption of the workforce, in the recruitment process, one door is carried out through the Karawang Manpower and Transmigration Office," he said.

That way, the job vacancies can be announced through information on official online job vacancies managed by the Karawang Regency Government.

"We have also conveyed that the company can cooperate with SMK in Karawang. Thank God the company's management is ready to do that," said the Regent.
