President Jokowi Review Health Services At RSUD In Muna
MUNA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized the importance of improving health services in remote areas, especially to deal with prominent diseases.
This was conveyed by the President after reviewing the service of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr. HLM Baharuddin, M.Kes in Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, Monday, May 13.
"What I see in almost all regions, a prominent disease is stroke, heart. The problem is that in a district or city that is far from the provincial (central), it will not be treated immediately, this will be a problem," Jokowi said as quoted by ANTARA.
In order to improve this health service, the President highlighted the need to add access to modern medical equipment evenly to the puskesmas level.
"Therefore, now the Ministry of Health has sent a lot of CT scans, lab paints, mamograms, or those to a smaller level, namely to the district, to the puskesmas there is ultrasound for pregnancy," he said.
The President appreciated the presence of specialist doctors in Muna who were able to operate various advanced medical equipment.
"I see here well. The building is good, the spatial layout is good, clean, I think that's what everyone has to go there," said Jokowi.
