Ghufron Ensures That He Will Attend The KPK Council Ethics Session Tomorrow
Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron confirmed that he would attend the ethics trial for alleged abuse of authority on Tuesday, May 14.
It is known that the KPK Supervisory Board will hold a closed ethics trial regarding the alleged abuse of authority by Ghufron. He is suspected of contacting the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) to discuss the mutation of an employee.
"God willing, I will attend the council examination tomorrow," said Ghufron when confirmed by reporters, Monday, May 13.
Ghufron was supposed to undergo an ethics trial on Thursday, May 2. However, he did not comply with the summons of the Supervisory Board and asked for a delay.
Ghufron gave several reasons. One of them is because he is filing a lawsuit with the State Administrative Court (PTUN) because he feels that the alleged ethical action cannot be followed up because it has expired.
This is because this act occurred in March 2022 and was only followed up after a report was made in December 2023.

As previously reported, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, will be tried for ethics because he is suspected of communicating with the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) regarding employee mutations on Thursday, May 2. The KPK Council decided that the trial was held because it had a number of evidences, including information from related parties such as former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
However, because Ghufron was not present, the KPK Council postponed it. The trial will be held again on May 14.
