KPU: 4 Independent Balloons The Governor Of Jakarta Does Not Leave Support Terms
JAKARTA - The Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) stated that there were four independent or individual candidates in the Jakarta gubernatorial election who did not submit the support requirements until the deadline for the submission of Sunday, May 12 at 23.59 WIB.
"Lastly, there were five who had consulted, and only one pair, namely Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, who submitted the letter of support requirements to the Jakarta KPU until the deadline for submission," said Jakarta KPU member Dody Wijaya in Jakarta, Monday, May 13.
He said the four candidates were Noer Fajriansyah who had not yet submitted access to the nomination information system (Silon) and had not submitted a support requirement.
Then Sudirman Said, who had asked for Silon access to the Jakarta KPU, had not submitted the support requirements until the deadline for the handover.
In addition, Poempida Hidayatullah, who had asked for Silon access, had not submitted the support requirements. Finally, John Muhammad, who asked for Silon access on the last day of submission of the file, also has not submitted a support requirement.
"As of Sunday at 23.59 WIB, only one individual candidate pair will receive and we will check whether they have met the initial requirements or not," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Jakarta KPU Wahyu Dinata said that his party would process the terms of support for candidate pairs gradually. "Currently we are in the process of being investigated, after that we will see the physical and digital documents they have prepared," he said.
According to him, after meeting the minimum requirements, the KPU will issue a receipt. "If it does not meet the minimum requirements, we will return the documents," he said.

In accordance with the decision of the Jakarta KPU Number 47 of 2024, prospective independent candidates must have 7.5% of the total Jakarta voter list (DPT) in the previous election.
The number of DPT Jakarta in the 2024 presidential election is 8.2 million voters, so independent candidates must submit 618,968 ID cards to prove support for themselves in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
