Soekarno-Hatta Airport Provides 12 Counter Fast Tracks To Support The Smooth Travel Of Hajj Pilgrims

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) as the main manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten provides 12 fast track counters to support the smooth journey of the Hajj season 1445 Hijri/2024 AD.

Of the dozens of counters for examining documents for prospective pilgrims, all of them are at Terminal 2D of Soetta Airport in collaboration with the Immigration of Saudi Arabia.

Senior Manager of Branch Communication & Legal Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M Holik Muardi, in Tangerang, Sunday, May 12, said that the provision of Hajj inspection counters was an effort to facilitate the travel process for pilgrims from Indonesia.

"The fast path of Hajj is called 'Makah Road' and has been prepared at Terminal 2D. Through 'Makah Road', pilgrims who are prospective for Hajj can register and verify documents centrally," he said, as reported by Antara.

He also revealed that various other facilities had also been added by his party, such as chairs in the waiting room, provision of places of worship (mushala), to the addition of portable toilets.

In addition, 3,296 personnel have been deployed to support operational smoothness during departure and return.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Religion, relevant authorities and airlines. Then other authorities to ensure smoothness and safety of Hajj travel," he said again.

Through intensive coordination, Holik hopes and ensures that every aspect of the pilgrimage, from registration to arrival, runs smoothly and efficiently. "This collaboration is a form of our commitment as airport managers to provide the best service for pilgrims," he said.

In 2024, Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be the departure point for 128 groups from Jakarta, Banten, Lampung, and West Java at the Pondok Gede and Bekas Hajj Dormitory embarkation. A total of 53,621 pilgrims with scheduled departures on 12 May-10 June 2024 and a return of 22 June-22 July 2024.
