Platform X Launches "AI Audience" Feature For Ads Supported By Artificial Intelligence
JAKARTA - On May 10, the platform X business account announced a new feature for advertisers upgraded by artificial intelligence (AI). The platform says the "AI Audience" feature is coming soon.
This feature will allow advertisers to briefly explain their target audience for installed ads, then allow the AI X system to generate a ensemble of "the most relevant X users" to the target in seconds.
For example, users include a target audience as a "Technological Leader" with a description of "users who become leaders in technology." Within seconds, AI produced a list with hundreds of users in the target audience, along with demographic statistics.
The post was reposted by owner X, Elon Musk, although without any additional comment on the development.

Meanwhile, in response to the initial post, a user commented that this would be a "game changer" in the world of advertising and the "value of your money" on the platform. However, he questioned how well the AI is in targeting an accurate audience.
If AI proves to be efficient over time in correctly identifying target audiences, this move could put X ahead compared to other platforms in terms of advertising, as other platforms still require research to target the right audience.
However, other users are concerned about AI strengthening and etching bias and stereotypes.
Another user questioned what X really sold and "to whom." The user said, "I think I paid so X didn't need to promote me to the brand and sell me to the company."

Despite some doubts, many users call this development "attractive" and "very intelligent."
This development comes amid Musk's proactive stance in integrating AI into the social media platform.
On March 26, Musk announced that the AI X model itself, Grok, will be accessible to all premium X subscribers. On March 29, the next version of the model, Grok-1.5, was announced. It says it has an "enhanced reasoning capability" and a context length of 128,000 tokens.
Amid a legal dispute between Musk and OpenAI, where he previously had a relationship, on March 11, owner X said he would make Grok open-source.
Although AI company Musk, xAI, actively developed a new tool for mass use, in January, Musk denied the accuracy of reports saying that xAI had secured $500 million from its $1 billion investment target.
