These Are The Requirements For The Number Of Supports That Must Be Fulfilled By Candidates For Governor/Regent/Walkot Independent
JAKARTA - There are a total of minimal requirements and distribution of support for prospective pairs of individual candidates in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada which are submitted to the General Elections Commission (KPU) to pass the verification stage.
This rule is contained in the KPU Decree (SK) Number 532 of 2024 concerning Technical Guidelines for Fulfilling the Support Requirements for Individual Candidates in the 2024 Pilkada.
Reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 11, for pairs of individual candidates who want to advance in the election of governors and deputy governors, in provinces with a fixed number of people (DPT) to 2 million people, they must earn at least 10 percent of support.
The province with a population of more than 2 million to 6 million DPT must be supported by at least 8.5 percent.
The province with a population of more than 6 million to 12 million DPT must be supported by at least 7.5 percent.
Meanwhile, provinces with a population of more than 12 million DPTs must be supported by at least 6.5 percent.
"The amount of support as referred to is spread across more than 50 percent of the total district/city in the province," as stated in the KPU Decree Number 532 of 2024.
Meanwhile, for the election of regents and deputy regents as well as mayors and deputy mayors, in regencies/cities with the number of residents contained in the voter list remains up to 250 thousand people, they must earn at least 10 percent of the support.
Regencies/cities with a population of more than 2 million to 6 million DPTs must be supported by at least 8.5 percent.
Regencies/cities with a population of more than 6 million to 12 million DPTs must be supported by at least 7.5 percent.
Meanwhile, regencies/cities with a population of more than 12 million DPTs must be supported by at least 6.5 percent.
Just like the province, the amount of support is spread across more than 50 percent of the total district/city in the province.
The fulfillment of the requirements for support for prospective pairs of individual candidates is carried out by inputting data and uploading documents into Silon for governors and deputy governors, regents and deputy regents, as well as mayors and deputy mayors.
