The Boss Of PT Timah Expressed The Reason For The Operation Of The Ausmelt Smelter Has Not Been Maximum
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Timah Tbk (TINS) Ahmad Dani Virsal revealed the reason why the operation of the ausmelt smelt smelter has not been running optimally. According to Ahmad, there are several obstacles in the operation of the Top Submerge Lance (TSL) merger technology project Ausmelt Furnace.
"This is a new technology, yes. It really needs adjustments to how the composition is, technically. This is just a technical reason," Ahmad told the media crew quoted on Thursday, May 9.
He said that currently his party is continuing to work to make the ausmelt smelter be able to operate thoroughly, one of which is by overhauling or checking again. This is useful for improving the performance of the smelter.
"We will do this. Hopefully we will operate in the second half to increase metal production," he continued.

Just so you know, PT Timah Tbk also realized the downstream program through the use of the latest technology in tin commodity processing. Technology called the melting of the Top Submerge Lance (TSL) Ausmelt Furnace is a new chapter in technological transformation in tin processing.
TSL Ausmelt Furnace is a Tin strategy to answer the challenges faced by the tin mining industry today, especially maximizing low-level tin concentrate.
The Ausmelt Furnace TSL facility is able to process low-level tin ore concentrate starting from 40 percent with a production capacity of 40,000 tons of crude tin per year or 35.000 metric tons of ingot per year.
