Police Pocket Identity And Hunt For Murderer Of A Grandfather In Garut

The identity of the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a 73-year-old grandfather who died with injuries to his head and stomach in the Ngamplang area, Cilawu District, Garut Regency, West Java is now in the hands of the Garut Resort Police.

"We are pursuing the perpetrators," said Head of the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ari Rinaldo in Garut, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 9.

It is known that the victim Grandpa Alex was found dead in his own home, Sunday (5/5) in a pathetic condition, namely the head was destroyed, and the wound to the stomach until his intestines decomposed.

The police, said Ari, after receiving the information, immediately processed the crime scene, and collected information from a number of people, as well as evidence at the scene.

He revealed the results of the information gathered, the police managed to pocket the identity of the alleged perpetrator in the case of abuse of the elderly to the point of death. "We have pocketed the names," he said.

He said that currently the police had examined 15 witnesses for questioning regarding the incident, and other information related to the victim, as well as evidence related to the incident.

The police also, he said, are working with the forensic team to obtain additional information so that they can help identify the perpetrators, and find out the cause of the victim's death.

He hopes that the public will be patient in disclosing the murder case and arresting the perpetrators to be legally responsible for their actions.

"Please be patient, we are working to uncover this case," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim's house has now been installed with a police line and has been guarded by a number of police personnel to ensure that no one has entered the house.

"We guarded the location, no one was allowed to enter," he concluded.
