Apindo Suggests New Government Economic Ministers Can Cooperate With Business Actors

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) recommends that economic ministers in the new government can cooperate with business actors.

"Obviously professionalism and can cooperate with business actors," said Apindo Chairman Shinta W Kamdani, in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 8.

In addition, Shinta also added that the new government's economic ministers also have economic elements.

"In principle, we (suggest) ministers who professionally have a track record that can show progress rather than the Indonesian economy is maintained," he said again.

For information, the Indonesian KPU has appointed Prabowo-Gibran as the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pair elected in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections in accordance with KPU Decree Number 504 of 2024.

Prabowo-Gibran won 96,214,691 votes or 58.59 percent of the total national legitimate votes and met at least 20 percent of the votes in each province spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia.

This decision comes into effect on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

The elected President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto said that currently he will use the span of time starting from the stipulation by the General Elections Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia until before the handover of office on October 20, 2024, to prepare himself.

Prabowo also said that he and the elected Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka would study all national problems, and discuss with experts to find a solution.

Meanwhile, he said that he would not repeat the delivery of work programs during that period, because for him it was clearly conveyed before it was determined by the Indonesian KPU.
