Utomo Charge+ Implements SPKLU Ultra-Fast Charging Service Fees According To The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources
JAKARTA - Providers of electric vehicle charging services, Utomo Charge+ support the electric vehicle ecosystem through the provision of ultra fast charging SPKLU which makes it easier for people to use electric vehicles as part of the main transportation option.
Utomo Charge+ became the first SPKLU provider to announce support and implement service fee regulations at SPKLU.
This cost decision is in line with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia No. 182.K/TL.04/MEM.S/2023 concerning the cost of charging services at SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station) for fast charging technology.
Based on this Ministerial Decree, Utomo Charge+ became the first SPKLU provider to apply a service fee of IDR 57,000 to use very fast charging technology (ultrafast charging).
Utomo Charge+ Managing Director, Anthony Utomo said, this cost determination is a progressive step from Utomo Charge+ to provide quality and affordable services to electric vehicle users in Indonesia.
"We underline that there are still very few SPKLU providers that already have an official license from the Government, so they have not been able to apply a service fee of Rp. 57,000. Therefore, we are proud to be the first SPKLU provider to adjust the tariff to the provisions set by the government," said Anthony, Wednesday, May 8.
Anthony said that the application of service cost rates was a step taken by Utomo Charge+ to uphold the government's initiative to review the cost of this service properly.
The figures that have been set have also been calculated in accordance with the needs of optimal tariffs for the community.
"By setting this tariff, it can accelerate the return of investments for private SPKLU owners, especially in expanding the ultra fast charging network in Indonesia. It is hoped that the determination of this service fee ceiling can be applied consistently and evenly in Indonesia to prevent the possibility of illegal or fake tariffs that are not in accordance with the rules. Thus, a stable and trustworthy environment can be created for electric vehicle users and developers," he explained.
Anthony also said that the application of this fee will take effect from 7 May 2024 at several SPKLU Utomo Charge+ points spread across Indonesia. The application of this fee will take effect at 18 SPKLU Utomo Charge+ points, namely six in Jakarta which will be located in Gama Tower, Plaza Galeon, and Pekan Raya Jakarta; one in Bekasi which will be located at AEON Mall Deltamas; and two points in Surabaya which are located at National Hospital and Wisma SIER.
Anthony added that Utomo Charge+ is committed to supporting the use of electric vehicles in Indonesia so that it can contribute to the transition to using clean energy that is environmentally friendly, and support efforts to achieve net zero emissions which is the target of the Indonesian government by 2060.
He hopes that the available ultra-fast charging SPKLU will also encourage public interest in transitioning using low-emission and environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
"We hope that the rare pioneer taken by Utomo Charge+ can also be followed by business actors providing SPKLU fast and other ultra-fast charging in Indonesia. Because, with the increasing number of SPKLUs that apply service costs according to the Ministerial Decree, the greater the trust of people who want to use electric vehicles, "added Anthony
In line with Anthony, Director of Business Development of the Directorate General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Havidh Nazif, said that the determination of service costs carried out was intended to attract more investment in the establishment of SPKLU.
"Determination of service costs will create an economy of business entities, as a trigger for investment for SPKLU," said Havidh.
ENTREV's National Project Manager, Eko Adji Buwono, said that the determination of this amount of costs had been reviewed and thoroughly evaluated together with the Directorate General of Gatric of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, where ENTREV as a partner of the government and the business world contributed to the assessment and evaluation process.
"We are trying to provide support in determining these costs from various relevant aspects to ensure that the determination of this service fee is in accordance with the needs and standards set. We hope that the determination of a fee of Rp. 57,000 applied by SPKLU Utomo Charge+ can be one of the keys to stimulating penetration of electric vehicles (KBLBB) in Indonesia," said Eko.
For additional information, the use of SPKLU Utomo Charge+ can also be done easily and safely. Users will only need to download the Charge+ application available on the AppStore and PlayStore, open an account using an email or phone number, make a payment via QRIS or Credit Card, scan a barcode on the SPKLU screen, and finally charge it.
