Erick Thohir: Alhamdulillah BRI Enters The Ranks Of 20 Biggest Banks In Asia
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI managed to enter the ranks of the 20 largest banks in Asia based on S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
"Alhamdulillah, a state-owned bank, BRI is one of 20 banks with the highest market caps or market capitalization in Asia. BRI is ranked 17th with a market cap of 57.50 billion dollars equivalent to Rp914 billion," he said, quoted from the official Instagram @erickthohir, Wednesday, May 8.
Erick said BRI's market capitalization had an increase of 5.6 percent compared to the previous quarter of October-December 2023.
According to Erick, this achievement cannot be separated from BRI's efforts to provide credit or financing for micro-enterprises in the country.
