Nojorono Tobacco Keeps Opportunities For Expansion, Fulfills The Needs Of The Cigarette Market In 2024
JAKARTA - PT Nojorono Tobacco International (Nojorono Kudus) is committed to continuing to innovate on the products produced to answer market needs and contribute to the national economy.
Nojorono Kudus is also optimistic about growth opportunities and will expand its business in 2024.
"We still see opportunities for growth and expansion. Nojorono Kudus will still innovate products in several categories of cigarettes, especially for hand-kretek cigarettes (SKT) and machine kretek cigarettes (SKM) that also follow market tastes in mid-2024," said Director Nojorono Tobacco International Arief Goenadibrata in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 8.
Arief revealed that one of the challenges faced in 2024 is the increase in tobacco excise (CHT) which is an important step in efforts to reduce the bad effects of smoking for public health and increase state revenue. Excise adjustments occur in each cigarette category evenly.
However, lower excise increases occurred in the SKT category, based on the consideration that the SKT was included in the labor-intensive sector.
Highlighting the policy, Arief emphasized that Nojorono Kudus as a player in the tobacco products industry (IHT) also complied with every regulation set by the state.
"We are optimistic that through strategic steps, the company will still be able to contribute positively to the community and the environment by upholding noble values and social responsibility that we have held firmly," he said.
