Claudia Scheunemann Nicknamed Super Women After Scored Goals For The U-17 Indonesian Women's National Team

JAKARTA - The AFC pinned the nickname Super Woman to U-17 Indonesian Women's National Team player Claudia Scheunemann. The attacker scored a spectacular goal against the U-17 Philippines.

In the inaugural match of the 2024 U-17 Women's Asian Cup in Bali, Monday, May 6, 2024, the U-17 Indonesian Women's National Team faced the U-23 Philippines at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium. The results were not very satisfactory because Garuda Pertiwi fell 1-6 from the visitors.

The only reply goal made by Indonesia U-17 in that match was scored by Claudia who appeared impressive. The process of creating it was quite beautiful.

Getting a wild ball outside the penalty box, Claudia cleverly fired a long-range shot that slid hard without being able to be blocked by the U-17 Philippine goalkeeper.

Claudia's goal had made the score 1-1. However, the good performance of the U-17 Philippines was unable to be matched by the squad directed by Satoru Mochizuki until the match was over.

Seeing Claudia's performance on the pitch, the AFC also gave sky-high praise for the player's beautiful 15-year-old goal. "Claudia Scheunemann fired a 'Super Woman' shot," wrote the AFC on their official Instagram page quoted Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Despite the praise expressed by the AFC, in fact the final result in the match was not satisfactory. Even so, Claudia called the defeat to the U-17 Philippines a valuable lesson for the U-17 Indonesian women's national team.

"We have tried our best. This team is also preparing for only one month. So, there are still many things that need to be improved. Hopefully in the future we can improve and be more compact. Step by step can be even better," said Claudia.
