Coordinating Minister Luhut Prepares Relocation To Compensate 2,086 Ha IKN Land

JAKARTA - The government has prepared the provision of relocations and compensation for communities affected by the issue of 2,086 hectares of land in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan conveyed that the preparation of relocations and compensations was an effort by the government so that people would not be harmed in the process of working on IKN strategic projects. In his visit to IKN, he discussed with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono to immediately follow up on the settlement of the land in the IKN. "Anyway I hope that everything must be completed on 27 May," he quoted Antara. PUPR Minister Basuki further explained that the granting of relocation and compensation was carried out through the Social Impact Management (PSDK) Plus scheme. According to him, usually the provision of PSDK is only in the form of compensation, but this time the government decided to provide additional benefits for people who still live in the area under the control (ADP) of the IKN Authority, namely in the form of relocation. "It should be with only compensation but this is a compensation plus. Plus it's relocation, made (house)," he said, currently his party is racing with time. Therefore, socialization is needed by OIKN and the local police so that the community can understand the commitment of the government, so that they can immediately build relocation infrastructure in the IKN region.

"There is from OIKN, because this is an asset in land control, it is being prepared from the OIKN location," said Mr. Bas, Minister Basuki's nickname. Previously, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY said that his party was ready to resolve the issue of 2,086 hectares of land in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN). According to AHY, the problems in IKN are not in the realm of the ministry he leads, however, his party is ready to resolve the problem by issuing certificates in the region.
