5,687 Victims Of Mount Ruang Eruption Evacuated From Tagulandang

A total of 5,687 residents of the Mount Ruang eruption in Sitaro Islands Regency, North Sulawesi (Sulut), have been evacuated out of Tagulandang Island which is adjacent to Ruang Island.

"People's activities still look deserted," said Public Relations of the Manado National Search and Rescue Agency Office, Nuriadin Gumelang, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 7.

More than a thousand residents who were evacuated to Manado City, Bitung City, and Siau Island, were transported using a number of ships docked at Tagulandang Port and Minanga Ferry Port.

Temporary data for refugees who have been evacuated out of Tagulandang Island since April 30, May-6 at 07.00 WITA using KN SAR Bima Sena as many as 203 people and KRI Kakap-811 as many as 1,058 people.

Furthermore, KN Customs and Excise as many as 401 people, KM Glory Marry as many as 935 people, KM Barcelona III as many as 426 people, KM Marina Bay as many as 250 people, KM Yamdena Voy 8 as many as 170 people, KMP Lohoraung as many as 1,245 people), and KMP. Lokongbanua as many as 999 people.

"The people from Mount Ruang have all been evacuated. Now the temporary data comes from the Integrated BPBD Command Post, Sitaro Islands Regency," he said.

He hopes that people on the island of Tamulandang remain careful, alert, and continue to wear masks when outside the house.
