Jokowi Only Smiled About The Prabowo-Mega Meeting
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo smiled widely when responding to reporters' questions about the news that he was initiating or encouraging a meeting between the elected president Prabowo Subianto and PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
The question was asked by reporters when Jokowi gave a press statement after attending the inauguration of the Indonesia Digital Testing House (IDTH) at the Tapos Telecommunications Equipment Testing Center (BBPPT), Depok, West Java, Tuesday, May 7.
The president seemed to smile broadly while nodding his head when he heard the question.
The Head of State then left the question and answer session without answering the question.
Previously, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani revealed that Indonesian President Joko Widodo was pushing for a meeting between PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and Elected President Prabowo Subianto.
This was conveyed by Muzani to dismiss President Jokowi's issue as a barrier to the meeting of Megawati-Prabowo.
"No, Pak Jokowi actually encouraged and reminded," said Muzani in the Pademangan area, Jakarta, last Saturday.
