BMW Will Use The Engine From XM Red Label For The Latest M5, Expected To Launch This July

JAKARTA - BMW intends to add a high-performance lineup with a 'M' badge. After updating the M2 and M4, the manufacturer is working on the latest generation of the M5.

Just like before, this latest BMW M5 will rely on more powerful performance. However, it does not eliminate the element of luxury. In fact, the sedan is rumored to be carrying the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) system.

According to Carscoops, Monday, May 6, the car will be equipped with an aging V8 engine, combining it with a hybrid system while strengthening the company's commitment to completing its electrification line.

Rumors say, the latest M5 will use a machine from XM Label Red, namely V8 4.4 liters which can produce up to 738 dk of power. However, the manufacturer said it would lower it to 718 dk with a torque of 1,030 Nm.

If this rumor is true, then the car will have up to 101 dk of power or greater than the last M5 CS. Thus, the vehicle has a very large weight of up to 2,435 kg from before and the wagon version.

The latest M5 will also use the same PHEV system as XM. Thus, it is estimated that the car can have pure electric power capable of providing a range of up to 80 km in a single charge.

It was also reported that this sporty sedan will be present in July this year. What's more, the car was caught on camera and was in perfect form with a camouflage sticker wrapped.

In the picture, this car has a complete front and rear LED headlights, a more sporting bumper, a horizontal tackle, and shows a charging port on the fender right behind the front wheels.
