After The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup, Roberto Mancini Praises 4 U-23 Indonesian Employees
JAKARTA - The former coach of the Italian national team, Roberto Mancini, gave praise to four Indonesian U-23 players after the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.
This was revealed by Mancini because he had witnessed how Garuda Muda performed. Mancini is now the coach of the Saudi Arabian national team who also appeared in the competition.
Mancini's view of the Indonesian U-23 players was revealed to Hamdan Hamedan, as the Ministerial Expert (TAM) of Diaspora and Kemenpora Youth. The two met while watching the match for the third place in the U-23 2024 Asian Cup between Indonesia U-23 vs Iraq U-23.

Hamdan then shared his experiences and conversations with the person who had handled Inter Milan and Manchester City on Instagram social media accounts.
Hamdan revealed that Mancini and one of his staff, Fausto Salsano, gave special appreciation to the four Indonesian U-23 players. The four players in question are Marselino Ferdinand, Justin Hubner, Ivar Jenner, and Nathan Tjoe-A-On.
"In general, Indonesia is playing well," Mancini told Hamdan when asked about Indonesia's U-23 vs Iraq U-23 performance, quoted on Monday, May 6, 2024.
"Number 7 (Marselino), 10 (Justin Hubner), 6 (Ivar Jenner), and 23 (Nathan Tjoe-A-On). Can you help me write their names?" Hamdan's story when Mancini asked about the players who stood out.
After Mancini mentioned a number of players he considered prominent, Hamdan also asked about the players' chance to be able to appear in Serie B. Mancini's answer was quite optimistic and became a bright spot.
"Yes, I think so," said Mancini in response to Hamdan's question.
Before the four names received praise from Mancini and were deemed worthy of appearing at the second level of the Italian league, there was one Red-White player who actually had a career in Serie B, namely Jay Idzes. He is currently defending Venezia.
