Merdu Chanting Diana Krall Entertains Fans At Her Single Concert In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Diana Krall finally met her music lovers in Jakarta in a show entitled "Diana Krall Live in Jakarta 2024". This event took place with syahdu at Ciputra Artpreneur, South Jakarta on Saturday, May 4 yesterday.

The jazz singer opens the list with familiar songs that make up. Starting from 'Almost Like Being in Love' and 'All or Nothing at All', Diana invites the audience to dissolve in their past memory through the composition 'I've Got You Under My Skin' from Nat King Cole.

Launching ANTARA, the Canadian artist also brought the popular old song "Route 66" version of Nat King Cole which is thick with jazz nuances.

In addition to popular songs from other great artists, Diana Krall also presented a series of songs in front of Jakarta fans. Some of them are 'The Girl in The Other Room', 'The Look of Love', and 'Love Letters'.

After that, Diana and the band accompanying her thanked and gave greetings to the audience and left the stage. The applause from the audience burst into the show room, thinking that the show was over.

A number of spectators joined in shouting "We want more! (We want more!)," to ask Diana to come back on stage and give extra song performances.

Unexpectedly, Diana returned to the stage and sat on her piano bench along with an accompaniment band that was prepared in their respective positions. After a little preparation, Diana gave additional performances to the audience by performing the song "Ophelia" which was popularized by the band The Band.

The show then continued with the presentation of a song titled "Almost Blue". The song "Almost Blue" was performed gently and solemnly, making some viewers sing the lyrics of the song that was included in Diana's seventh album entitled "The Girl in the Other Room".

The song "Almost Blue" was the closing of Diana's single concert which lasted approximately two hours. Before getting off the stage, Diana gave a farewell and a thank you that was met with boisterous applause from the audience.

"Thank you. Much love. Thank you (Thank you. Lots of love for you. Thank you)," Diana said to the audience.

This single concert carries a familiar theme to create a close relationship between Diana and her fans.
