Ruko At Green Ville, West Jakarta Burns, Officers Still Extinguishing

JAKARTA - A 3-story shophouse-type permanent building in the RT 13/09 area, Ruko Green Ville, West Jakarta, was hit by a fire on Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2024.

The fire scorched the entire room on the first to three floors of the shophouse building. However, it is not yet known how many shophouses were affected by the fire, officers are still focused on extinguishing the fire.

Residents reported the fire incident to the Kebon Jeruk Sector Fire Department on Sunday at around 11.45 WIB. Then, as many as 13 fire engines were dispatched to the location.

"There were 13 cars with 55 firefighters deployed to the location to extinguish the fire," said West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head Syarifuddin when confirmed, Sunday, May 5.

Until now, officers are still struggling to extinguish the fire. The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. The reason is, firefighters are still focused on matching the fire.

"The object caught fire in the three-story shophouse building. Currently, the situation is in the cooling process," he said.
