Semen Baturaja Raises Revenue Of IDR 406.5 Billion In The First Quarter Of 2024

JAKARTA - PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), achieved a net income of IDR 406.5 billion in the first quarter of 2024 through the synergy of market and price management.

SMBR's Vice President of Corporate Secretary Hari Liandu in Palembang, South Sumatra, Saturday, May 4, said the net income increased by six percent compared to the first quarter of 2023 of IDR 383.2 billion.

The net income growth was driven by an increase in cement sales volume which reached seven percent or 486,643 tons, compared to the same period last year.

"This growth is thanks to the synergy of market management and prices carried out with GIS as the parent company, helping SMBR maintain profitability. The revenue from the derivative product business, namely white clay, recorded sales results of Rp. 3 billion," he said, as reported by Antara.

He conveyed that SMBR remains optimistic that it can achieve strong company performance growth.

Synergy with GIS as the parent company also provides encouragement for companies in managing markets and prices that contribute directly to improving company performance.

In synergy with GIS, SMBR also contributes to national strategic projects by supplying cement for the construction of the Betung-Jambi Toll Road part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) which connects South Sumatra and Jambi Provinces.

"The construction of this toll road increases the economic sector and facilitates access and connectivity between the two provinces and maintains SMBR's strategic role in national infrastructure development," he said.

He is also optimistic that he will achieve performance targets in line with market developments and continue to strengthen synergies with GIS and establish other strategic partnerships that have an impact on improving company performance, ensuring efficient operations, providing added value, and increasing collaboration with stakeholders in order to realize sustainable development.
