The Babel Police Have Determined 14 Suspects In The Kolongbuntu Illegal Mining Case

PANGKALPINANG - Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police have named one more person as a suspect in a illegal mining case carried out in Kolongbuntu River, Nangnung Village, Bangka Regency.

"With the addition of one suspect with the initials Hr, the total number of suspects in this case is currently 14 people," said Head of Public Relations of the Babel Police, Kombes Pol Jojo Sutarjo in Pangkalpinang, Saturday, May 4.

The determination of one more person as a suspect was carried out after the Gakkum Sub-Directorate investigator team conducted an examination and filed a case against the perpetrator which was held on Friday (3/5).

From the results of the case title, said Jojo, suspect Hr was proven to be involved in the case of illegal tin ore mining in the Kolongbuntu River. The suspect is suspected of having a role as a buyer of illegal mining products at that location.

For further processing, he said, the suspect is currently being held in the detention room of the Mako Polairud Polda Babel. Previously, the Gakkum Sub-Directorate Team of the Ditpolairud Polda Babel had named 13 people as suspects in the illegal mining case in the Kolongbuntu River area.

A total of 13 suspects have different roles, some work as miners and some have roles as field coordinators in the area.

A total of 13 suspects have been arrested, namely Na, Ms, Su, Su, Ed, Nu, Su, Mu, Ru, Su, FF, FB and the head of the local RT with the initials AR who acted as field coordinator.

The arrests of the suspects for the illegal mining of tin ore are a form of the seriousness of the Babel Police in eradicating illegal mining activities in the area.
