Umrah Pilgrims In Kediri And Around The First Fly From Dhoho Airport

KEDIRI - The operation of Dhoho Airport was positively welcomed by residents. Dozens of Umrah pilgrims from Kediri and its surroundings made their first domestic flight to Jakarta.

"We certainly feel happy and proud, today there is the first Umrah pilgrim departure from Kediri's Dhoho Airport. We really hope that this airport will become an international airport, so that apart from serving domestically, it is also for the benefit of Umrah and Hajj," said Kediri Deputy Regent Dewi Mariya Ulfa in Kediri, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 4.

He said that currently, flights are still limited, but other aircraft are already in process. Departure of the inaugural Umrah pilgrims is also a separate motivation that other airlines can also follow it so that the airport is getting busier.

"This is all still a process. For the first time, this is our new spirit, our new motivation. God willing, if one has been done, the other will follow," he said.

He also hopes that the departure of the first Umrah pilgrim from Kediri's Dhoho Airport will run smoothly and all pilgrims will be in good health.

"Certainly Umrah is smooth, all healthy. I also leave prayers for Kediri Regency and other cities around it, with this airport so that it runs smoothly so that the economy also moves, the welfare of the community is raised. We hope for it," he said.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Hajj and Umrah bureau of the Mulia Kediri Tourism Alture, Ahmad Nurhadi, said the number of first Umrah pilgrims departing from Kediri's Dhoho Airport was 30 people. They have been registered both from the bureau in Kediri and on the Kampung Blitar Regency Chocolate tour.

"We have scheduled 30 pilgrims. This is our first from Kediri's Dhoho Airport and of course we hope for the beginning for our trip," he said.

He said that so far the departure of pilgrims through Juanda Airport is Surabaya. For pilgrims from Kediri, Blitar and its surroundings departed for Juanda Airport, while the congregation from Trenggalek, Ponorogo, went through the airport in Solo.

"Of course this is useful and we hope that this airport will become a facilitator as an Umrah travel agency to provide services to pilgrims from Kediri and other regencies around it so that Umrah does not need to go far to Surabaya but at Dhoho Kediri Airport," he said.

He admitted that he had prepared for the next departure in the near future with pilgrims up to one plane. All worshipers departed from Kediri's Dhoho Airport to Soekarno Airport and then to Saudi Arabia.

He hopes that all congregants will also be healthy, both departing until their return.
