Forgot To Brake The Ice Cream Truck Hit 29 School Children, 18 Rushed To The Hospital
JAKARTA - Ice cream trucks sliding out of control down the hill crashing into a crowd at a festival in Krygyzstan.
The driver who realized the incident immediately ran. Security officers who were at the location also chased the truck, which is estimated to have slid to reach 30mph.
Quoting Metro.co.uk, Friday, May 3, the incident was caused by an ice cream truck driver forgetting to pull the handbrake lever. As a result, 29 school children who were in the crowd were hit.
The ambulance that came to the scene immediately treated and took the victim, who was still 9-16 years old, to the hospital.
A total of 18 children were hospitalized following the incident. Meanwhile, seven of them were treated intensively.
Children who were victims were visitors to a festival dedicated to Manas Epic, a legendary poetry writer in Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet mountain republic.
