Police Arrest 190 Kg Of Marijuana Carrier In The Gayo Lues Mountains Aceh

MEULABOH - personnel from the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Gayo Lues Police, Aceh, secured 190 kilograms of dried marijuana ready for distribution from a suspect who was arrested in the Mountains area of Palok Village, Blangkejeren District.

"Currently, we have secured all the evidence and one suspect at the Gayo Lues Police Headquarters for further investigation," said Head of Narcotics Unit AKP Yasir Arafat as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 3.

In this case, the police arrested a suspected perpetrator with the initials RML (38), a resident of Piling Village, Blangkejeren District.

AKP Yasir Arafat explained that the disclosure of this case after personnel from the Gayo Lues Police Narcotics Unit received information from the public that in the mountains of Palok Village, Blangkejeren District, Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh.

It is suspected that people who are suspected of carrying or carrying marijuana are often crossing these locations.

The police then conducted an investigation by combing the path allegedly traversed by the perpetrators. On Wednesday (1/5) afternoon, officers saw seven men carrying seven sacks of white burlap with suspicious movements.

When approached by officers, the seven perpetrators then threw burlap sacks and fled towards the bush.

The police who gave chase then managed to arrest one suspect with the initials RML alias LAN.

To the police, the suspect RML admitted that he and six of his colleagues were transporting marijuana by carrying it on foot.

AKP Yasir Arafat said the 190 kilograms of dried marijuana were ordered by someone named Syukri.

In this case, the police have secured seven white burlap sacks containing 190 bales of marijuana-type narcotics wrapped in black plastic, wrapped with yellow duct tape weighing 190 kilograms.

"We are still investigating this case and we are developing it," said AKP Yasir Arafat.
