Responding To The Ombudsman Regarding The Postponement Of CPNS 2024, KASN: The Recruitment System Is Transparent And Competitive

JAKARTA - Chairman of the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) Agus Pramusinto said the recruitment system for Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS/CASN) is transparent and competitive because it uses a Computer Assisted Test (CAT).

This was conveyed in response to input from the Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman Mokhammad Najih who said the 2024 CASN selection could be postponed until the 2024 Pilkada was completed so as not to be used as a political commodity.

"With the Computer Assisted Test (CAT), the CASN recruitment system is very transparent and competitive," Agus told a written message in Jakarta, Friday, May 3, which was confiscated by Antara.

Because, he said, the use of the selection system with computer tools could significantly reduce the politicization gap for CASN recruitment.

"Thus the opportunity to politicize CASN recruitment can be significantly reduced," he said.

He also emphasized that the CASN selection system using CAT is different from the honorary staff recruitment system.

"This is different from the recruitment of many honorary staff for the electoral interests of regional head candidates," he said.

Previously, Thursday (2/5), the Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman Mokhammad Najih suggested that the CASN selection in 2024 be postponed until the simultaneous regional elections are held on 27 November.

"If I may propose, this year's CASN selection will be postponed until the election is completed so that it will not be used as a political commodity," said Najih at the Indonesian Ombudsman Office, Jakarta.

Najih hopes that the ranks of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) and related parties can discuss the proposal of the Indonesian Ombudsman.

The Ministry of PANRB has set a formation for the recruitment of CASN 2024 as many as 1.28 million formations consisting of 75 ministries and institutions as many as 427,850 formations, and 524 local governments as many as 862,174 formations.

The number of 1.28 million formations to meet the needs of ASN nationally is 2.3 million people in stages.
