Jokowi Wants The Presidential Club Meeting To Be Held Every 2 Days

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) wants routine meetings of former presidents who are planned to join the Presidential Club to be held every two days.

Jokowi also gave a positive response regarding the plan for President-elect Prabowo Subianto to form the Presidential Club, consisting of a former president who is still alive today.

"Good... good... good," said President Jokowi when met after reviewing the Periclindo Electric Vehicle Show electric vehicle exhibition at JI-Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 3.

When asked about the Presidential Club meeting, President Jokowi said that the meeting could be held regularly every two days.

"Yes, it's okay every two days," said President Jokowi.

Previously, the Spokesperson for the President-Elect of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil Azhar Simanjuntak, revealed Prabowo's plan to form a Presidential Club filled with former Indonesian presidents who are still alive today.

The establishment of the club, according to Dahnil, aims to keep former presidents routinely meeting and discussing strategic national issues.

Dahnil said Prabowo hopes that leaders in Indonesia can be united and harmonious in thinking and working for the interests of the people, regardless of their differences in views and political attitudes.

He also believes that at the time, Prabowo will definitely meet with the 7th President Jokowi, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Previously, the General Elections Commission appointed Prabowo Subianto and his partner, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as president and vice president elected for the period 2024-2029.

Prabowo-Gibran is scheduled to be sworn in on October 20.
