BMW IX1 Basic Variant Arrives In Malaysia, Cheaper Price Than Indonesia

JAKARTA - BMW has officially brought the basic variant of iX1, namely eDrive20 M Sport, to the Malaysian market. The manufacturer says this car is an entry-level electric vehicle, but has impressive performance.

Taking a base from the ICE version, namely X1, BMW iX1 eDrive20 M Sport displays a chrome strips design that can attract attention. Just like other electric cars, the Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) also has a closed grip.

Reporting from Paultan, Thursday, May 2, this car is equipped with a lightweight 871 M bicolour rim with a 19-inch double cross from the M Sport package, a Shadowline high-gloss M package, and a shadowline shadowline embankment.

Then, this car is equipped with adaptive LED headlights, two-zone temperature controllers, M-skin steering steering steering wheel, astronaut header, wireless charger pad, BMW Live Cockpit Professional consisting of a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.7-inch infotainment display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as the Harman Kardon voice system.

For the driver assistance system, the eDrive20 M Sport variant has a number of functions as standard, consisting of Lane Change Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Brave Intervention, Exit Warning, Rein Collision Prevention, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

BMW iX1 eDrive20 M Sport uses the fifth generation of eDrive drivers to join electric motors to generate 204 and instant torques of up to 250 Nm and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 8.6 seconds.

The battery has a configuration of up to 64.78 kWh so it can go with a distance of up to 475 km according to WLTP calculations. This vehicle can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 29 minutes with fast charging.

In neighboring countries, the model is priced at 264,000 ringgit (around Rp. 895.7 million). This price includes a five-year warranty extension and a service package for six years.

This car also made its debut in the Indonesian market last February at a price of IDR 1.4 billion Off The Road DKI Jakarta.
