Suzuki Opens The Latest Generation Of Swift Orders In India

JAKARTA - Suzuki has officially opened an all-new order period for Swift which is likely to launch on May 9 in India.

Reporting from Autocar India, Thursday, May 2, the manufacturer with the 'S' logo announced an order price of around 11,000 rupees (around Rp. 2.1 million) which can be done online or through a local dealer network.

The model will be the fourth generation of the popular hatchback series and comes with changes from the exterior, interior, features, to the heart of the runway with the latest technology.

This car will come differently than before, one of the changes is that there is a black color on the pillar C like the Hyundai i20. In addition, the rear camera will be placed on the trunk cap.

It is also reported that the top variant will receive the full LED light. The front and rear bumper will look different compared to its global specifications. Swift will be decorated with the same rim as the global version, but the medium trim will get a unique pattern.

From the heart of the runway, this 'S' belogo manufacturer will equip Swift with a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder Z Series engine that was introduced to Japanese specifications last year. According to the company, the engine will focus on reducing emissions, fuel efficiency, and power.

It is possible that this latest engine will produce up to 90 dk of power and 113 Nm of torque and be equipped with a mild-hybrid system. Although the information is limited, it is estimated that Swift will use a manual transmission of five AMT accelerations and gyrboks.

For the Indian market, Swift will be the rival of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Citroen C3. It is estimated that this hatchback will experience a price increase compared to the previous generation between 624.000 to 883,000 rupees (equivalent to IDR 121.1 million to IDR 171.4 million).
