600 Units Of Chery Omoda 5 Kena Recall In Malaysia Because Of This Problem, Indonesia?

Chery Malaysia announced the recall of 600 units of Omoda 5 in the local market due to potential problems in the doubles. This step was taken after a viral incident on social media in which the Chery Omoda 5 car suffered a broken as wheel without any accidents at all.

In an official statement, Chery Malaysia revealed that it had identified the problem at Omoda 5 and had taken precautions for potentially affected vehicles. Chery also stressed it is committed to providing safe and reliable transportation solutions, as well as ensuring all vehicles meet the highest safety standards.

Although this issue is considered an isolated case, Chery Malaysia stated that it has overcome the problem by replacing problematic components and conducting comprehensive quality control tests. They assert that customer safety is a top priority.

Chery Auto Malaysia will contact affected customers for a detailed examination and resolve all technical component problems.

As is known, Chery Omoda 5 is also present in Indonesia, and has been produced locally. And Chery Sales Indonesia stated that no similar problems occurred in the Indonesian market, where Omoda 5 has been produced locally.

According to the Head of After Sales Chery Sales Indonesia, Reza Deniar, local production was carried out in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, West Java, along with a partner of PT Handal Indonesia Motor. However, Chery Indonesia continues to carry out preventive measures, including inspections before delivery, to ensure the condition of the unit upon arrival at the dealer.

"To make sure that we have a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI), so before the unit is sent we will check. But we make sure again that what happens in Malaysia is different from the production in Indonesia," added Reza.
