Unsatisfactory Performance, Manchester United Don't Want To Leave Rashford?

JAKARTA - Manchester United fans are quite disappointed with Marcus Rashford's performance this season. However, MU apparently doesn't expect the player to be proposed by another club on the stock exchange this summer.

"This is because no club is able to fulfill the player's tag," a source told ESPN on Wednesday, citing ANTARA.

MU set a price of around 70 million pounds (Rp1.4 trillion) for Rashford, but so far none of the clubs have been able to meet that price limit, the source continued.

The MU hierarchy itself has the belief that only Paris Saint-Germain is able to meet the price of Rashford and at the same time the player's salary.

PSG had expressed interest in signing Rashford, but United are now aware that the player is no longer on the list of substitutes for Kylian Mbappe who will join Real Madrid at the end of this season.

Rashford has only scored eight goals this season in all competitions, but the Red Devils don't want to let go at a discount, but will only sell it to clubs that can meet the demand for prices from MU.

If Rashford leaves Old Trafford then it will nourish United's finances so that they can be actively shopping in the transfer window later.

United also intends to release Mason Greenwood who is on loan to Getafe in the Spanish League.

The problem is, even though Greenwood performed brilliantly in the Spanish League, Getafe will not be able to make this player permanent because United are asking for a high price, up to around 40 million pounds (Rp 811 billion).

According to a source to ESPN, if no club is able to meet Greenwood's price, then this player will return to Old Trafford.

Greenwood has no longer defended United since January 2022 due to cases of sexual harassment.
