Indonesia U-23 Opening Goal Disallowed, Muhammad Ferari: There Is Disappointed, But Will Keep Trying
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team defender, Muhammad Ferarri, admitted that he was disappointed with the referee's decision in the semifinals against Uzbekistan U-23. Although the final result was unsatisfactory, Ferarri admitted that he would still try hard for better results in the next match.
In the Indonesia U-23 vs Uzbekistan U-23 semifinal match at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Monday, April 29, 2024, WIB night, Ferarri was actually able to open up Garuda Muda's advantage in the 61st minute.
However, the euphoria did not last long because it turned out that Ferari's goal was disallowed by the referee after checking the assistant referee (VAR) video. The goal started with Pratama Arhan's cross which turned out to be offside.
Ramadhan Sananta as the initial recipient of the ball from Arhan was first caught offside before Ferari finished the chaos in front of the opponent's goal with a goal.

Responding to this, Ferarri admitted that he was disappointed. He said there should still be luck that could be obtained after the first goal. However, the referee's decision made the situation change.
"After I scored a goal, I was still lucky for today. However, there were irregularities for me from the referees who were not profitable for us," said Muhammad Ferarri after the match.
After losing the opener, Indonesia U-23 was even hit by Uzbekistan U-23. Two goals were successfully scored against Ernando Ari Sutaryadi who then made sure White Wolves sealed the place in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup final.
After failing to win from Uzbekistan U-23, Indonesia U-23 still has a chance to fight for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics in the race for third place.
Iraq U-23 will be against Garuda Muda in the race for third place after they are defeated by Japan U-23 with a score of 0-2 in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, in order to fight for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ferarri admitted that he would try hard with the team.
"In the future we will play for third place. We will try to get tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics," he said.
Regarding Garuda Muda's appearance in the semifinals against Uzbekistan U-23, Ferarri felt that the team had performed well. However, the victory failed to be secured because of unfavorable luck.
"We've played well, but only luck was not with us," he said.
