Joining The Prabowo-Gibran Government, NasDem Affirms Not Asking For A Ministerial Seat

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party emphasized that it did not ask for a ministerial seat when expressing support for the government of the President and Vice President Elected, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This is because the party that carries the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair in the 2024 presidential election prefers the interests of the nation, rather than the interests of the party.

"Until now there has been no minister's request from us. Because the sustainability of this country's government is more important than just the interests of parties and ministerial seats," said NasDem DPP chairman Irma Suryani Chaniago to reporters, Sunday, April 28. Irma emphasized that the NasDem Party's decision to close to Prabowo's government was because they both wanted to build a better Indonesia in the future.

"NasDem supports Pragi (Prabowo-Gibran), because he wants to help build this nation in the future so that it will be even better," said Irma.

It is known, the NasDem Party stated that it supports a new government that will be led by Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This was conveyed directly by the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh when he visited the elected President, Prabowo Subianto in Kertanegara, Thursday, April 25.

"NasDem today reiterated that it supports the new government under the administration of Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mas Gibran," said Surya Paloh during a press conference.

"We are ready to give full support to the new government," he continued.
