Running 120 KM Bandung-Bogor, This Runner Supports Bima Arya In The West Java Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - A number of runners from various regions in West Java took action to run hundreds of kilometers to meet Bima Arya.

They started from Gedung Sate Bandung (120 km), Pelabuhan Ratu Sukabumi (72 kilometers), Sentul, Bogor Regency and was greeted by the Bogor City running community in Tugu Kujang.

Their action is a form of support for the Mayor of Bogor for the 2014-2024 period, Bima Arya, to run in the West Java gubernatorial election.

Throughout the trip, they shouted, 'Bima Arya! West Java! Kumaha Barudak? Well!'

One of the runners from Bandung, Shandy Yoga Saputra expressed his gratitude for arriving while in Bogor City and meeting directly with Bima Arya.

"It was raining but we continue to be enthusiastic about completing this support mission for Kang Bima. Usually run the farthest 26 KM, this is the first 120 KM Bandung-Bogor run. Alhandulillah is safe," said Shandy.

Shandy representing the runners also provided a run jersey that had been signed by the running participants as a form of support and entrusted Bima Arya with his hopes.

Another runner is a woman from Pelabuhan Ratu, Sukabumi. Neni and her friends ran 72 kilometers with the same hope.

Getting this support, Bima Arya stated that the 120 KM Bandung-Bogor ran shocked him and did not expect it.

"Because it's not easy to run above 100 KM. So it's not a normal thing, it's not a natural and normal thing. When they defend themselves, it means I have to take them seriously," said Bima Arya.

Some of the input submitted by the runners to Bima Arya was related to waste that damaged the beauty of tourism at the Queen Port, dust and mining trucks in Bogor Regency, making runners uncomfortable, to development for potential athletes in West Java.

"For me now, the spending phase is problematic and absorbs hope. To what extent can we measure and fight for their interests and what we will fight for," said Bima.

"When the runners came, it didn't just increase the spirit but I also know what the problems are in each region," he added.

Regarding the support of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Bima Arya said that there was already a signal for him to get ready to participate in the Jaba Gubernatorial Election.

"Ketum PAN (Zulkifli Hasan) has conveyed it openly and for me it is a kind of challenge from the Ketum. So, Ketum ordered, but there are also other names. For me it is a signal or signs that Ketum wants to test its cadres. To what extent is readiness, sincerity, that's roughly," he said.
