Recording At Abbey Road, Govinda Will Present Live Album
JAKARTA - Govinda shows its existence as a pop music group in the country. After going viral with their singles, It's Great, they are preparing a new work in the form of an album.
In particular, this album was recorded in one of the world's legendary music studios, Abbey Road. Moreover, this time they had a recording session in studio 2 which had a lot of history.
"This is our second time to Abbey Road, and the recording is in studio 2 where the Beatles were born hundreds of hits," Ade Govinda said at a press conference at Bajawa Coffee Sunter, North Jakarta Friday, April 26 yesterday.
The recording session was carried out in 2023, with the concept of live session. Although technically more challenging, Govinda has its own reasons for choosing this method.
"When 2019, we recorded multitracks, and our next dream was indeed live recordings. So yesterday we recorded, shooting video clips and traveling there too," said Ifan, Govinda's vocalist.
The quartet, which was once named Domino, explained that they had prepared quite a long time for a session at Abbey Road. Moreover, they collaborated with National Symphony Orchestra and live recordings.

From their trip to England, there will be an album containing 12 Govinda tracks with the composition of old and new songs. One of their new tracks is Episode Bahagia, which is the mainstay single.
"There will be 12 songs, there are new songs and several songs that have raised Govinda's name on this album. There will be vinyl and boxsets later in early June," said Ade.
This single features typical Govinda pop music with romantic lyrics and is easy to enjoy. The four personnel showed intimate moments with loved ones in their music video which was released on April 26 yesterday.
Not only targeting commercial success, this recording session at Abbey Road also provides its own satisfaction for Ifan et al as musicians.
"We are working with a great engineer, Chris Bolster, who has handled Placebo's work to Coldplay. So we learn a lot and are satisfied with the recording. The happy episode is arguably the selling song, but there will also be more banded songs, more crunchy," concluded Ade Govinda.
