LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Development Progress Reaches Grider Balok Appointment Stage

Iwan explained that the appointment of a girder for the first time was carried out in the Jalan Pemuda area, Rawamangun, precisely in the span area of P06-07B, which is adjacent to the Jakarta International Velodrome (JIV) and Mall Arion. Girder used is a type of PCU girder with a length of 31.5 meters, each of which will be used two (2) PCU girder pieces to support two (2) rail tracks which will be built at the next stage," he said.
Iwan added that before carrying out the process of lifting the girder, the Jakpro (Perseroda) team, assisted by the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and contractors, compiled "safety" and "risk analysis" related to the methods of careful lifting. "After that, certification was carried out on the lifting equipment in the form of 'non-destructive test' (NDT) and 'wire sling' checking by the PJK3 Disnaker assessment team," he said. Iwan also explained that the security aspect has always been the main point in the work of the Jakarta LRT project, of course it was applied in the work on the lifting of this girder. After the process of lifting this girder, the next phase of construction, namely diaphragm or connecting two girders to be used as a unified building structure.
