LRT Jakarta Phase 1B Development Progress Reaches Grider Balok Appointment Stage

Girder used is a type of PCU girder with a length of 31.5 meters, each of which will be used two (2) PCU girder pieces to support two (2) rail tracks which will be built at the next stage," he said.

Iwan added that before carrying out the process of lifting the girder, the Jakpro (Perseroda) team, assisted by the Project Management Consultant (PMC) and contractors, compiled "safety" and "risk analysis" related to the methods of careful lifting. "After that, certification was carried out on the lifting equipment in the form of 'non-destructive test' (NDT) and 'wire sling' checking by the PJK3 Disnaker assessment team," he said. Iwan also explained that the security aspect has always been the main point in the work of the Jakarta LRT project, of course it was applied in the work on the lifting of this girder. After the process of lifting this girder, the next phase of construction, namely diaphragm or connecting two girders to be used as a unified building structure.

"After this stage is completed, the construction of the'slab deck' will then be carried out which is the work floor for work track work, such as the installation of'sleepers' and also 'rail tracks'," he said.

Currently, the construction of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT with a route of 6.4 kilometers (km) passes through five stations connecting Velodrome-Manggarai has entered week 31 in week 3 April 2024. "It is targeted that as of September 2024 a 'test track' can be carried out, the train can run from Velodrome Station to Rawamangun Station," he said.
